We will teach you the fundamentals of manga, from where you can develop your own style, without the need of a teacher!
The course is 100% online and you can follow through it at your own pace, pause, replay and redo as many times as you want! You will also receive feedback from the mangaka Snuwiii on your work, if you request it, for free.
Course content
We will be using Clip Studio Paint for this course, however it is not mandatory that you draw digitally. As a beginner, the paper and pencil are your best friend and even preferable to digital tools.
We will start the course with the fundamental shapes and how to draw straight lines.
We move onto the head and how to create it from a front view and slightly turned. Here, we will learn the importance of facial expressions and what each element (eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, ears and hair) mean from a psychological point of view, which will help you in improving original character creation.
We start going through the basic proportions of the male body, and how to slightly adapt them to a more interest pose.
Then we go through some information on clothing and a crash course on textiles and various materials.
Finally, we move on to linework.
You get life-long access to our Sonzai Edu Discord server.
